For reference, Altria's other brands include:
Marlboro
Players
Basic
Benson & Hedges
Virginia Slims
Skoal
Copenhagen
Prince Albert
Black & Mild
And a fucktonne more. They bought Juul because tobacco companies profit off the production of nicotine salts. Hell, they have a whole stack of quitting aids in there brand portfolio, too, because big tobacco isn't just about smokes. >Is pipe tobacco the same as cigarette tobacco?
No, but you can buy pipe tobacco from most places. Maybe buy some basic blends like Half & Half or Prince Edward and mix in an aromatic (added flavor) if you enjoy more sweeter taste. Also buy a good lighter that has soft flame that is somewhat angled. Matches are too much of a hassle unless you're smoking inside.

>> No.18037226

>>18035832

Buy a cob and 3 tins of tobacco: an English blend, a pure Virginia and an aromatic. Figure out which one you like the most and store them all in jars. Even if you're only into one or two of them at first, you will appreciate having the others jarred for the future and can expand your taste. Eventually get a cheap briarwood pipe for everyday smoking and a quality pipe like a Savinelli or Peterson. Most pipe smokers have a rotation of pipes and use each on different days or for different blends etc. If there's a blend of tobacco you like, check it out on tobaccoreviews.com and look for more similar blends to expand your cellar.

Also don't make the mistake of buying shitloads of different pipes at first, it's better to invest your money in a lot of different tobaccos than pipes and cellar them. There is a saying that if you find a blend you like, to buy as much of it as possible because it will not go bad and you never know when that blend will be discontinued or the company that makes it closes down.

IMO aromatics are shit but that's just my cup of tea. Blood Red Moon seems to be the most popular aro blend online (it's a chocolate and cherry accented Virginia and Burley blend). Check out a brick & mortar store if you're lucky enough to live near one and ask about aromatics. Vanilla, chocolate, cherry and liquor (whiskey, rum, bourbon) are the most common flavor additives for aromatics so it depends what you're into.

For me, it's Squadron Leader or Charatan Virginia flake

Cigarette tobacco is chemically treated to have a lower nicotine content so that people can chain smoke without vomiting. Pipe tobacco is cured but is generally untreated and thus smells more natural, same with high quality cigar tobacco. Combustion rate is also a big factor. Cigarette tobacco chars and burns immediately. Cigar and pipe tobacco have time to release their aromatic compounds and vaporize. the elites don't want people smoking for two main reasons. One, smoking actually boosts IQ by a few percentage points. But that's not the main reason. The main reason is that smoking builds community. It's an activity you can engage in that stimulates conversation and thus making friends/forming relationships.

The feds and elites were pretty successful at removing smoking from our culture in the 90s and 2000s. They banned tobacco advertising, and they banned, in most states and municipalities, the ability to smoke a cigarette in a bar or restaurant. They even succeeded in making smoking "uncool" and convincing a lot of young people to have an extreme visceral hatred of smoking.

And then vapes and Juuls came along, and all of a sudden a bunch of young people started ingesting nicotine again, and they didn't feel bad about it because for decades the establishment said nicotine wasn't really bad besides being addictive, but the bad part about cigs was the tar and other combustible materials therein.

So vapes seemed like this amazing way to bring back the culture of smoking and as a way to get around bans. If you recall, about 10 years ago or so people were vaping on airplanes and inside many restaurants and bars, because it technically wasn't smoking. Well, then they banned it and made sure to include vapes in those regulations, but it still skirts around it sometimes.

The point of this recent policy is to get rid of vapes so that less young people smoke, so that they remain isolated and alone and thus more dependent on the state and media to dictate their lives

This is also why they want to take the nicotine out of cigarettes. They thought that banning them from nearly every public space would convince people to quit, but not everyone quit. Currently like 10-12% of Americans are still smokers. That's too many

Tobacco noticably increases testosterone production, also it's gotten to the point where it's no longer profitable enough be worth the effort, so they might as well ban it while pretending that they care about public health and push the next new thing

If you've been paying attention, you'd notice that they are specifically concerned about nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive, yet relatively harmless chemical on par with caffeine. It is an effective nootropic, a testosterone booster, and an antiviral. Nicotine has been used for centuries as both a mild stimulant and a relaxant, often people with mental health issues use it to self-medicate (and quite effectively without precription drugs that have very nasty side-effects). Putting two and two together leads one to think TPTB want weaker, crazier people who give more money to big pharma. We fucking know pharma pulls a lot of the strings in world government now. Natural tobacco itself is pretty much a non-issue, considering how easy it is to grow, but a prohibition of it indicates a desire for justification of bolstering law enforcement funding. Tobacco bans and alcohol bans are a mean to that end.

I vaguely remember a Steven King short story a long time ago. I think it was called The 10 O'clock People or something similar. In a time where the few remaining smokers would gather for smoke breaks, and there was something about their social ostracization which allowed them to recognize things other people couldn't, namely that there were meat-faced They Live type demons walking amonst them.

>it seems reasonable to ban it since you're pretty much guaranteed to get cancer if you smoke or chew it.

except this isn't true at all. Plenty of people smoke into their 80s and 90s and die from unrelated reasons. The biggest "danger" from cigarette smoking isn't lung cancer (or any other kind of cancer), it's heart disease. And that really only happens if you smoke a pack a day or more, because it causes your arteries to harden over time, compounded if you are fat. If you're not overweight, there's very little danger in smoking. Just look at Japan and the famous "Japanese Paradox". They smoke way more than Americans ever have, and yet they have lower rates of lung cancer AND lower rates of heart disease. If cigarettes really caused those issues like they say, then the Japanese would contract them at far greater rates than Americans, but they don't

they literally want to create more schizos. If you're prone to schizoid thinking, tobacco is a huge boon as it helps calm your thoughts. That's why there's the trope of mentally ill patients chainsmoking cigarettes, they are absolutely therapeutic.

Instead our overlords want schizos to smoke weed so they go full schizo and shoot up a school or do some other heinous act.

you can smoke without being addicted to tobacco. Especially if you only smoke cigars or pipes. In my experience, the only people who are heavy cigarette addicts are those who started smoking in their young teens.

I smoked weed in high school, but aside from the odd cigarette here or there, I never actually bought any until I was 18 and in college. That was over 10 years ago.

I smoke maybe two or three packs a week, depending if I go out drinking one night or not. I usually have one on the way to work, I have one on my 15 min break, have one on my lunch break, maybe have one more at my next 15 min break, and then I have one on the way home. I smoke between 3-5 cigarettes per day on average. A pack of smokes usually lasts me 4-5 days, sometimes longer.

Sometimes shorter, if I go to the bar and drink and they have a smoking patio, I can easily plow through half a pack or more in a few hours

Point being, you can control your tobacco usage. The only people smoking a pack a day or more either started when they were super young or really have just made no effort to smoke less.

They're alright. Sweet, full bodied, but still light enough to inhale. I like how the smell of clove and tobacco stains your finger. Also the sweet aftertase from the filter sponge.

I only got them because I miss my childhood. I remember my dad used to light one up as he prepared a big feast for our family reunion. Good times.

I like them. You don't need to inhale all the time. Just take your time and let it burn.

I don't mind stale tobacco, so I would often snuff it out when I'm bored then relight it again when I feel like continuing.

I do a little ritual before lighting a freshone. Sniff the cig, lightly roll out the ends to make it less compact, then gently toast the paper. Use low heat, just enough to slightly brown the paper. Then light it up

Nah, you don't need to smoke a pack a day to get the test boost if that's what you really are doing it for and I wouldn't say it's comparable to steroids, besides, the only people that croak from peds are those trying to win high level competition and such, realistically with a bit of homework you can take steroids and never deal with bad side effects

>Combustion rate is also a big factor. Cigarette tobacco chars and burns immediately. Cigar and pipe tobacco have time to release their aromatic compounds and vaporize. Its why the flavor is better too. The finest cigars will taste and smell like absolute shit if you're chiefing them down and burning hot.

It depends on the climate you live in. If you're somewhere hot, sunny and non-humid you can air cure them. If not, you should look into flue-curing where you build a shed with pipes running through it that expose the leaves to indirect heat from outdoor furnaces.
