I am going to shill goldbelly a little bit because I have never seen it posted here and I've had a great experience buying close to 20 or so packages over the last two months.

It's literally the exact same stuff you get if you actually traveled to all those restaurants. It is also sent overnight to you. It's pretty awesome kinda traveling all around the nation with your mouth.

this shit is literally 3-5 times more expensive than shit bought elsewhere
i once saw a >reddit story of someone getting a goldbelly gift card from their work as a bonus and they couldn't even buy anything with the $25 card they got
i see this shit on my Amex card offers all the time, which usually is only reserved for extremely overpriced garbage trying to lure in unsuspecting retards who can't pass up a deal
if you aren't a LITERAL shill, you at the very least have far more money than sense

a fucking $40 juniors cheesecake with free shipping off their official website costs $70 on Goldbelly. for nothing. for no added value whatsoever. you are being ripped off. you are being stolen from.

I don't support goldbelly nor denounce them, but I understand what they are trying to do and their costs. Say I wanted a famous chicago style tomato soup bread bowl from the most well known or praised place, I could order it through this site and have it shipped to my door. I don't have to pay a few hundred to fly out to chicago to just try "pizza". Of course, it's going to cost a lot more because of shipping, packaging and in this case obtaining the product. It's not like there can be a warehouse for storing food from all of these restaurants. As a middleman, they need to obtain the product from thousands of different little sources, keep the product fresh while packaging and in transit and ensure it's basically overnight shipped so it doesn't spoil. Shipping perishables is highly costly. They also need to turn profit in order to keep their service available, which is a further mark-up. From a business standpoint, their prices make sense for what they're trying to do. You're not supposed to use the service for the ham sandwiches and hotdogs. You're supposed to use it for the shit you can't find anywhere in your area.

>> No.18014495

Thats actually an interesting concept. Being from a small town with no actually good restaurants, it could be neat to try some day. But the price pretty much makes it reserved for special occasions or richfags.
