I went with a family once who did this
they bought subway in the morning before going to the park and then we left at lunchtime, drove 15 minutes to a city park to eat and stayed for about an hour before going back to disneyland
I hated them so much

I vividly remember when I was 6 my family went just before 9/11,
and I had a miserable time because I was an autist who hated crowds, loud sounds and bright lights, fast rides, and basically anything which tried to pretend it was something it wasn't. Sit-down restaurant food was great though.

Good thing my Grandma went, so I could spend the whole week or so with her either in the resort pool or riding the People Mover. Thanks grandma.
