I'm afraid welfare food would be classified as "not-working class" food

whoever buys this is the type of person with carpet in the kitchen, not one wall in their apartment is bare, and they have multiple cats.

People on welfare get fresh food, which is cheaper but takes more time to cook. Working people on low incomes have more income but less time.

Good luck finding beef cheap enough to do so.

80/20 is $5/lb. Salisbury steaks are like 70% filler. They're basically little meatloaf patties cooked in a corn starch pan gravy. A quarter lb of beef, onion powder, an egg and some bread crumbs soaked in milk would produce 4 or 5 of the same size patties you'd get frozen. Pan sear them then make a sauce with water, worcestershire, soy sauce and corn starch.

>> No.17997856

>>17997839
Chicken breast was 2.18/lb today at my Walmart. I'd make three patties from each of the comically large breasts they sell. Add a slice of provolone and do an egg, flour, grated parmesan and breadcrumb coating then pan fry. A few tablespoons of $1/can pasta sauce is negligible.

>> No.17997865

>>17997856
The breasts at Walmart are 33% injected water. You'd be getting the equivalent of the meat alone with none of the pre-cooking or flavoring.

Because feminism poisoned the minds of modern women making them believe their place was in the workforce and not at home, and once they entered the work force it no longer became possible for the average home to survive on the income of one person. Now they get to work a full time job, and try to have a family with all that having a family entails except they dont have time or even know how to my home made food, so modern women buy corporate corn syrup slop to feed their now severely obese and dysfunctional internet addicted children.

Here we see now why giving women agency and the right to vote was clearly a mistake.

In USA that can happen because the government is willing to use tax money to subsidise underemployment. Not necessarily a bad thing if it keeps businesses ticking over. They're not willing to do that in Australia. Our tax-funded welfare only goes to people who don't work, the majority of whom never will. But we let our automobile industry die nearly a decade ago in the intetest of pure capitalism, and despite having no more financial interest in car production spent the years afterwards shouting that we can't have facilities for electric cars because that's communism, so it's all good. Can't shut down coal mines becauase coal miners will lose their jobs and politicians invested in coal mines will lose capital, btw.

I’m surprised but according to their website Walmart’s price seems to vary a decent amount depending on location, cheapest I saw was $2.99 in New Jersey, $3.14 in some places, $3.99 in the Northwest, and not even listed online for the locations checked in Northern and Southern California.
