The Last Word (gin, maraschino liqueur, green chartreuse, lime juice)

Charlie Chaplin (sloe gin, apricot brandy, lime juice)

Old Fashioned (whisk(e)y, bitters, 2:1 sugar syrup stirred down and served on a chunk of ice w/ orange peel)

Caipirinha (brown sugar, lime wedges, muddle in rocks glass, top with crushed ice and cachaça, stir w/ straw)

Sazerac (rye and/or cognac, peychaud's bitters, simple sugar syrup, stir over ice and serve in absinthe rinsed glass w/ lemon peel)

Aviation (gin, maraschino liqueur, lemon juice, violette liqueur)

Pictured is the last one - I'm a former cocktail bartender so I've got loads more but the ones I listed are classics that everyone should try (in no particular order)

how retarded are you?
there are thousands of cocktail recipes and until you try them, you won't know if you like them or not
install some meme app that would tell you what you can do with what you have and start from there

What is the best cocktail in the world, and why is it the rum daiquiri?

3/4 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz 2:1 Demerara sugar syrup
2 oz of a blended, lightly aged rum, Havana Club is good here

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker, shake with ice, double strain into a chilled coupe glass.

>>17990762
Solid list, but I have to strongly disagree with your use of brown sugar in the Caipirinha, maybe some of that natural sugar shit, but not brown.

Tiki is getting pretty big and I expect it to continue, as rum enjoys some much needed time in the spotlight and zoomers continue to reach drinking age.

>In a Caipirinha

Get raw sugar or coconut sugar and that’s it
>make sure it’s not “Gold” Cachaça as that has bourbon vibes that DO NOT belong in a caipirinha

I detect certain lack of mint in your mojito

A mojito also gets some seltzer, but if mint is your thing, I have a good one for you.

The Missionary's Downfall
5 (1 inch sized) fresh pineapple chunks
8 mint leaves
1 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz 2:1 Demerara sugar syrup
1/2 oz peach liquer (Combier or Giffard is best, but you can totally use Peachtrees or whatever here)
1 1/2 oz blended lightly aged rum, Havana Club again probably

Muddle pineapple in a tin, add ingredients and some crushed ice, shake hard and double strain into a chilled coupe. You can muddle the mint with the fruit if you want more minty.

I'll try this as soon as I get some peach liqueur.

That drink needs way way more mint leaves. I also use 90 instead of 30 ml rum as the original recipe calls for. I also leave out the sugar as the pineapple ans the liqeur are already sweet enough.

cocktail noob here, are there any nice drinks that heavily feature fresh orange juice?

Former cocktail bartender anon here again, here's some:

Screwdriver (orange juice and vodka - add vanilla galliano too and it's a Harvey Wallbanger cocktail)

Mimosa (champagne/sparkling wine/prosecco and orange juice)

Aqua de Valencia, pic related (orange juice, cava (substitute w/ a fruity prosecco if you can't find it), vodka and gin)

There's also traditional sangria and mulled wine varieties that you can use orange juice in too.

Finally, there's two classic cocktails that feature orange juice (however, they're not very popular in my experience):

Blood & Sand (blended scotch whisky, cherry brandy liqueur, sweet vermouth, orange juice)

Bronx (gin, orange juice, sweet vermouth, dry vermouth - basically a perfect martini (martini w/ equal parts sweet/dry vermouth) + OJ)
