if i could i would just bribe the officers to bring me decent food ingredients or see if my family can send me some
given that theres lots of time in prison, id pickle and ferment foods, make and age cheese, find a way to make and hide prison hooch

I think if I was in prison I'd probably covet any kind of tea or coffee. Not sure how much prisoners are allowed in their cells.
If I couldn't get tea or coffee I would try other things in hot or warm liquid. Black pepper tea with orange zest might be decent.
