i found myself making the same meals over and over again so i did hello fresh for a few weeks to force myself to make different meals than i normally make, and also because my aunt does hello fresh so i got a discount on the first week. it was alright but i wouldn't do it again.

0/10. We've had this thread already but I'll summarize my points. The produce is shit, the recipes are limited and boring, and the entire thing is horrendously overpriced.

Why not just cook the food for me, freeze it, then send it to me so I can put it in my freezer?????

It's a five minute walk (or 40 minute drive to the nearest bodega if you are american) to a market/store to buy that same stuff. For a whole week.

I ordered one week of shit at the discount rate (half off and no shipping).

The food tastes fine. The proteins (meats) were of average of below average quality. The veg was all good, but it's also the cheapest part of the pack. The seasoning ans spices were ok, but the fats they used in the sauces was strange and caused me to break out.

Generally the recipes all tasted good because they covered up the low quality of the protein with strong sauces like demi-glace, or bbq sauce.

The pricing was alos not great, I tallies up the contents of the packs (two person meal packs) and the dollar value ranged from 3-7 dollars of actual food, which cost 10 dollars on a half off sale with no shipping costs, which means it would be 20+ normally.

It's an extremely bad value proposition that might be useful if you need the extra hand-holding for a few weeks, I guess.

Ironic that it's mostly liberal white collar childless millennial couples that buy them

> But first, a word of our sponsor, Hello Fresh.
> While I'm busy with my wife, I don't always have to time to cook for dinner so Hello Fresh comes right on time with quick and easy to follow steps for a decent meal with fresh ingredients.
> Today, I made Sopa de Macaco, a brasialian ethnic dish with fresh meat and a lot of stock. I love this primal taste it has, it reminds me of simpler times.
> And simple it is, for 25% off and 2 weeks of trial for free, use the code "RAGUSEA", it's "RAGUSEA" on https.://hellofresh.com. You're doing me a service if you try it out.

not really, it's entirely consistent with their vapid consumerist "high-speed" worldview and lifestyle. any "environmentalism" from them is shallow and for virtue-signaling purposes only

I'm American and also really have no idea what I'm doing (nor as a single dude do I want to eat the same thing every night), and when I used to work out of an office, spending time stopping by after work to shop was fucking misery inducing, since I knew I was wasting precious time before I needed to force myself to sleep to get up and be an officecuck again in the morning.

It might have made sense back then, but with current increased costs, I can't justify it, especially working from home. Might have expanded my skills though, I'm admittedly a bad cook.

I've always been a shit cook, but when I've used Hello Fresh (we got a couple of crazy deals before), I actually enjoyed my cooking and ny wife never screamed at me or anything.
I think I must take forever prepping, but I am notoriously terrible.
