As a sciencefag, the reason they revert is food quality. I know 4chan may not know anything about fries, especially this fucking board, but the reason they have a paper casing is to maximize crispiness. Tossing fries into that plastic thing is like sealing them in Tupperware: they are going to immediately get soggy

That isn't the biggest issue when it's meant for in restaurant dining. Plus McDonald's fries don't event come out of the fucking fryer crispy. I have no doubt people just throwing the containers away as well as increased labor cause now you need someone to wash those containers between uses is probably why they go away.

Paris is dope as hell. Great restaurants, good people, live music, fairly reasonable, shops, art, parks, decent weather, very walkable, etc.

Lots of people claim that it sucks or that it's a tourist trap, but it's so easy to avoid the shitty parts and traps. I have to believe they were incredible unlucky, retarded, or both. Or they feel they have to hate it cuz it's popular or played out and they can't think for themselves. Objectively it's a very nice city, with plenty to do, and great food. Doesn't mean there aren't bad places, but there's a lot of good shit.

I visit Paris once a month. I never even considered eating at MacDonalds. That's just vile. Indonesian, Cambodian and Vietnamese restaurants are far better price/quality. There's also a network of "répairs"/"refuges" for homeless or disabled people where you can eat dirt cheap/industrial kitchen (10 Euro for meat, potatoes, fresh veg, 1 Euro for coffee). Tourists and "normal" people are very welcome there.
