I bought Signature Select (Safeway/Albertson's/Jewell/etc own brand) ice cream sandwiches once. It was a huge box. I put them all away except one that I was gonna eat. Then I got a phone call and I handled that shit and went upstairs, watched something and went to bed.
Next morning, I headed downstairs and saw that I'd left the ice cream sandwich, still wrapped and uneaten, on the counter. Odd thing is, no liquid anywhere. I picked it up to throw it away. While it was noticeably softer than one straight from the ice box, it retained its shape. It hadn't melted.
Idk what sort of sorcery this is, but I will never buy SigSel ice cream sandwiches ever, ever again.
