As much as I'd like to blame it on the $300 station knife resting on Nietzsche's lap in the background, Tb actually has become this expensive. LTO items used to be their schtick, but bringing back old staples at premiums prices after both the menucaust and nixing the dollar menu, it just feels like rape - but in a bad way.

It's not good, but really? That's the terrible problem? That's the proof of our horrid economy and Taco Bell's failings? Or just because you decided to order what is literally the first or second most expensive item on the entire menu? They are still far behind every other fast food place when it comes to raising prices - McDonalds has had average menu items go up almost 3 dollars, TB has gone up 50 cents.

I've been making these threads for years, anon. The sad thing is that 4 years ago I was shitting on everything I ordered tonight back when it was cheap enough to give a try. And now I'm giving it another shot because that's just where we are. I don't give a shit about McDonald's, and never have. I don't care if you were making them since 2004, you're a fucking retard if you whine about prices while purposefully purchasing the most expensive item on the menu and going on about "old staples" while talking about one of the least ordered menu items they had (B-B-B-BUT TWITTER A-A-A-AND MY 4CHAN FRIENDS SAY IT'S BELOVED!!!!) which came back to make it sell for once from 'hype'. The dollar menu also hasn't gone up that much within those 4 years, as taco bells prices had already mostly gone up to this 2 years ago and your threads did not disappear for that long so you should know this - within the last year taco bell has only gone up like 10-15 cents, most of the inflation in prices there were hitting before covid even, which you'd know if you actually did more than buy it once every now and then to make a thread to feel like a somebody. I go to Taco bell 4-6 times a week because I'm a fat fuck, posting as a pseudo-tripfag doesn't magically make you some special knowledge base or relevant opinion, you are a dipshit. I know. It's just not the same with how much things cost these days, and how much it's all gone down in quality. It's not that I can't afford it; I just don't really want to when I'm paying restaurant prices. I've also been drinking a lot more, so have been sticking mostly to vodka, which means I'm not buying different beers and a new bottle of scotch/bourbon every week. I typically go bigger when I get Del Taco, but even their prices have gone up in the past year or so.
