You could do chicken marsala

https://www.onceuponachef.com/recipes/chicken-marsala.html

It's pretty easy, tastes nice and looks nice on a plate

Ossobuco. Get it started first thing, watch a movie or something while it's cooking, then eat.

Either something fast, easy and delicious or something you can get started and cook/braise for hours required before she gets there. What kind of food does she like?

why waste time cooking, that's more a thing males do to impress females. Nah you should just go straight for his meat stick and suck the sauce out of it, there's no clean up this way either

well the plan is she comes over at lunchish time and we chill/cook the meal together until dinner is ready. i've no idea what she likes, but kinda don't want to ask lol. just wanted to make something nice which isn't too difficult for a non /ck/ and still looks/tastes nice.

i was thinking some italian thing since i learned some basics when i lived in rome but honestly don't know what goes with what etc. i was planning some mussels for a start just to eat while waiting on the main dish. but i suppose you can't have two seafood dishes.

the other stuff in the thread looks interesting, i'm looking at it now.

>Bolognese
a nice medium effort medium time Italian option. You can chop and incorporate the ingredients together and let it simmer while watching a movie.
>caccio E Pepe
a much faster option
>roasted salmon with a nice pasta in a pesto sauce
So many people screw up salmon, but it’s actually really easy. Just bake the fresh salmon in the oven for 7-10 minutes at 350. When you poke it with your finger it should bounce back/ not leave a dent. That’s how you know it’s ready. It should be very moist. If you see white cum like residue coming out of it, you’ve cooked it too long. While your making the salmon boil up some al dente pasta and mix wth a can of pesto, maybe throw a few basil leaves in.
>Salad
just get some arugula, dress with balsamic, olive oil and pepper, throw some fresh raspberries in.
>dessert
Make a chocolate mousse in advance. If you don’t have enough time, maybe a brownie with some ice cream.
>drinks
Have some sparkling water available.
>wine
A nice Argentinian Malbec is an affordable but tasty option. If you’re in Europe maybe a 10-20€ bottle of Merlot (depending on how expensive thing are). If you are doing fish or want white wine, a dry Riesling goes over with women well.

Italian food kinda sucks to be honest, make some higher end American or Mediterranean

>never had a date before
Checks out

As for the food shrimp would be best imo
Just fry them quickly add some lemon juice and garlic salt pepper maybe some dried chili
Thicken with pasta water then mix
Wala
She will either suck you dry or die from the shrimp because she is allergic and you didnt bother to ask
Either way she will be choking
Fettuccine would be best

you're not going on a date. it hasn't happened. i've never been turned down for a date before, about half the time she gives some excuse why she can't make it which is what will happen in your case.

don't buy a bunch of shit and get your hopes up. schedule for a restaurant instead

Simmer a pasta sauce like bolognese for a few hours so the place smells awesome when she gets there and has her wet from the jump. Add some roasted veggie (avoid broccoli as it may get in teeth) and some garlic bread if you wanna go a little heavy (but not too much garlic). Go red wine and you'll be in that puss by the end of the night
