Listen jack, I get it, you want the line between lower and middle class to be blurred and you think you're doing the right thing. But once again, you gave those with the capital the ability to control more resources, just like Trump's trade war hurt small farmers and helped corporate farms. by diffusing power from the bottom up, the whole financial system rejuvenates itself.

I agree than burger flipping is more of a real job than an "administrative assistant" is. I worked in an office during college and spent 99% of my time trying to look busy because I finished everything within the first hour.

Burger flipping as a teen took infinitely more effort and actually produced something tangible (a meal for someone to consume). I think everyone ITT disagrees simply because he's black.

small retailers are outcompeted by the fucking dollar tree/dollar store and amazon, simply because they cant outbid a corporation on a national scale.

meanwhile small enterprise can react faster to local trends and focus on local communities, which industry giants can not.
paying above min wage grows the local community, which global actors are not interested in.

you want marxism?

big corporations tap into the global work force and try to undercut wages as much as they possibly can to gain an advantage over their competitors, and workers(masses) are forced to comply because the monopoly dictates the worth of their labour.

only mom n pop shops have the ability to compete because they are operating on a smaller scale.

I've worked for my fair share of small businesses all throughout the United States, and the people that talk like this, do so because they don't earn their paycheck and are routinely having to be yelled at like a fucking child to clean up their room. Meanwhile, I've never had a conversation with a small business owner that wasn't friendly. They tell me to do something, and I an adult, does it to my best ability, and they see that, and they treat me like a human. Adjust your fucking attitude.
