When I was in kindergarten we'd get "blood-pancakes" with lingonberries every other week or so. The pancakes were like smaller crepes, but much less sweet and very savory. The lingonberries provided some acidity and a little sweetness. Absolutely delicious! It was one of the best-received meals, right up there with meatballs and mashed potatoes.
