serious question, no trolling intended: why don't average Americans like veggies more? based on what I see in my country, I'd think that your non-urban types would want to be "closer to the land" and nature and tradition, but instead it seems that in flyover states they hate vegetables, and also consume a ton of soda and junk food. when you hate globohomo and chemicals, wouldn't you want to eat more of home grown vegetables, and reject all kinds of processed foods?

Serious answer, no trolling intended, you have no idea what Americans do, want, or like, you grew up on the internet and social media and are disconnected from reality, kill yourself

Most of the people (arguably especially in the US) don't think as deeply as you suggest. They're just lazy and grab whatever's available and comforting, without considering long term consequences. Delayed gratification isn't easy.

I'm not American. Of course I know about America only from the internet, so half of it could be exaggerated. But there seems to be a struggle that there's no real love for vegetables in the flyover states.
