Why do all of this guy's recipes 'jest werk'? I am new to this hobby and every single time I make this guy's recipes they come out perfectly. Pic related is when I made his Tuscan Black Pepper Beef even though I had never braised meat before.

/ck/ is actually pretty fair to the guy, his voice is silly, he talks like the number 15 burger king foot lettuce guy but everyone looks past it because his videos are otherwise very high quality, adam ragusea is tolerated also, even though he's not a trained chef and his personality is really hard to stomach sometimes. the only ones that are outright hated are guys like joshua weissman or cringing with babish and that's because those guys are the most insufferable reddit faggots, neither of them have culinary education, i don't know how good weissman's recipies are because i honestly can't hatewatch his videos for long enough to assess them, i have however sat through cringing with babish and he deserves all the hate he gets his recipies absolutely suck, he can't get a fucking sentence out of his disgusting redditor mouth without filling it with stupid little reddit references and phrases. can't just say 'mix the eggs and milk and put them in the fridge for 15 minutes', it HAS to be 'uhm im gonna let these guys get to know eachother and chill for a bit' every single fucking video, and he sucks at cooking too. what's the point of watching a video where he shows the cooking process for 10 minutes if you don't even get a recipe or any kind of tutorial out of it, surely if it was only to show himself cooking something and thats it it wouldnt be him standing there with the camera at crotch level without moving and showing any kind of detail. fucking hate that faggot

ragusea is the worst fucking youtube chef ever. Annoying as fuck and puts honey on his cock for students. I think j kenji lopez had the best content in 2020, the long form videos where he literally just cooked in his kitchen with a gopro on his head is some of the best "how to cook" videos out there. Shows all the technique and he also knows what he is talking about.
