>More time, care, money, talent, and consideration has gone into the R&D of McDonald's menu than the menu of any Michelin awarded restaurant.
Discuss.

This. Michelin stars are a literal money laundering scheme. Look into it.

All that research and lead time has made them slow to adapt to trends and offer products that customers want now, they've optimized their menu so much that it's literally killing them now.
When was the last time they introduced a menu item or even a meal that wasn't composed entirely of existing menu items.
They couldn't even bother to assemble the "menu hacks" themselves when they were offering mcgangbangs and land sea and air burgers via the app, it was just a combo that sold you the burgers separately with no discount.

All of those things are for different reasons though. In maccas case, the goal is money.
In the restaurants case, the goal is taste and experience

Nope, I'm pretty sure a Michelin starred restaurant only exists to make money. If it starts losing money it'll shut down.
