For the /fit/izens out there, what are some relatively low calorie salty snacks you enjoy? I've budgeted out calories and am exercising and am losing weight. However, I usually end up with 200-300 calories left at the end of the day and am still hungry for a little snack near the end of the night. So far I like:

>a hand full of pretzels
>a few triscuits (garlic and olive oil flavor)
>some cold cuts and Pickles
>cup ramen

Anything else? I tend to like dalty and savory and to keep in That 200-300 cal range, ideally lower. Pls and thank you.

Cut the ramen. That's got too much salt. Try eating some lightly salted mixed nuts. Lots of good protein and they're tasty too. For something more crunchy try salted, not buttered, popcorn. If you get the right kernels you don't even need butter.

Pretty sure an adult male needs at least 2.5k calories a day to maintain weight and 2k to lose weight. So if im eating1700-1800 I am not comfort eating, just starting myself which can cause the body to hold on to fat.

Don't snack at night. Stop eating after dinner until the next day. Intermittent Fasting is the way and the light. Just drink water or some 0calorie beverage. That sounds like a good goal anon, but desu I'm only a month in and not drinking excessively and eating junk food whole staying within my calorie limit is taking all my willpower. I know it's dumb, but I've worked really hard on getting my life together rece and and a little snack at the end of the day really means a lot to me right now. It's like letting myself have an hour of vidya a few times a week, it's a nice little reward short term for making strides in the recent past. Not forever, but im training myself to be better.

depends on you height, weight, and body composition. but for normal BMI(not a great metric, but passable) that sounds about right

and you could get away with eating slightly more if you worked out, which would likely prevent any chance of "the body holding on fat" which is somewhat dubious to begin with

nice, keep it up, bro. do whatever you have to to remain consistent while not faltering on your goals

later on you can worry about trying to avoid eating shortly before sleep. the idea being that HGH which burns fat, repairs all the tissues in your body, and helps you sleep better is highest at night, and insulin is antagonistic to it, meaning that insulin present in your body from eating shortly before sleep will lower the amount of HGH your body produces at night

Broad shoulders and such, so I don't look like a complete lard ass since it's distributed decently, but I know I'm at the point where my decisions in the next year or so will determine if I'm a fantasy who dies at 60 like my grandpa or I can live a long, healthy life. Hoping for the latter and making steps to make it so.
>>17761691
Thanks bro, this legit helped me avoid a late night snack tonight (that, and a lean, healthy but filling dinner). It really seems consistency is the key. After a few months I already I don't crave food and alcohol the way I used to. I had a "cheat day" where I drank w friends and had pizza but I didn't even *want* more than a few beers and 2 slices. Only went over 200-300 calories, which I'm happy with considering I could drink like 6-8 beers a night and eat a whole pizza to myself.

Consistency and enjoying the small victories seems to be key.

also here's another awesome snack. I'll take beef and cook it, and then put that on some rice with ketchup and sriracha but I usually scrape them off to avoid losing gains.
ok also i like to make some pork chops by using sweet baby rays.

This bullshit has probably done more damage than processed sugar and fat combined. An ACTIVE man needs 2500, but most people are not active anymore. No, a 30 minute jog after sitting all day in an air-conditioned office does not count!

I once calculated my required calories for my height, weight age, etc. You know what my maintenance was? 1500 calories! A full thousand calories below the recommended for males. One can only imagine what damage this nonsense has done to women, since these recommendations usually cater towards women on food packaging.

A hot dog with spicy mustard and kraut on bread or bun is about 200 or so calories and is plenty salty.
You could also go for hard salami (or prosciutto if you have the ability) with mozzarella and olives. Hell just salami and crackers works too.
Hard-boiled eggs with salt go 70cal a pop. Serve with toast if you want too.

What, by using a calculator? Not accurate. Only way to know is to use one of those spreadsheets where you log daily weight and calorie intake over an 8-12- week period. That will tell you what your TDEE is.
