For Dutch culinary disappointment, look no further than the tosti. Basically it's a grilled cheese sandwich, but with minimal effort and ingredient costs because the Dutch are extremely frugal and consider preparing elaborate meals a waste of time that could have better been spent doing something productive, like lecturing people on the internet about cycling infrastructure. Most people use a single slice of cheese, no butter, and undercook them. To compensate for the extreme dryness, they slather it in mayo, or worse, the attroticy known as joppiesaus. Pic related is the saddest example I could find but it doesn't do justice to how shockingly bad the average Dutch tosti really is.

In Sweden we boil macaroni in milk until reduced to a paste and serve with ketchup. It is almost universally beloved.
I usually defend swedish cuisine when you niggers try to shit on it, but this is inexcusable. It certainly is edible but there is no reason to actually make it.

2. It isn't eaten as a delicacy by all Nordic people, that's far from the truth. It is very rarely found even in Sweden. A small minority of people eat it once a year as tradition.
MEANWHILE Italians eat "Casu Martzu" (LITERALLY: "ROTTEN CHEESE") with LIVE MAGGOTS in it. That's not an unfortunate byproduct: they wouldn't want to eat this cheese without live maggots in it.
