Seriously. Let's take the one thing that is attractive about a not great but serviceable chain diner- a consistent basic menu- and make it into a miasma of cutesy promotions and naming conventions that make ordering a simple breakfast a chore. Then we'll saturate ad space with the loss leader one and jack up the prices on everything else to where a burger costs more at Dennys than at an actual nice restaurant.

Denny's works only because those cheap American diner chains killed off the local places. When the local places closed they controlled the market. Then this newer wave wants to come in to bring back that feel but they get it wrong by over complicating it by over charging for an over dressed version of that place you just want to go on a morning you don't want to cook
