please kill yourself. One bloody pound for a nice hot pasty is god tier. Don't get me wrong, it's not amazing, it's greasy and flaky but it's very cheap and very servicable that Greggs is working class kino. My grandma used to buy me a chicken bake on the way home from school when she picked me. There's a reason why greggs is bigger in poorer norf areas. The pastries they sell in supermarkets taste like crap and the ones they sell in local patisseries are like £6 for a marginal improvement in quailty. Greggs, due it's economies of scale and popularity allows for its low prices bringing a traditional national favourite to the lower classes, stopping them from having to rely on foreign chains like McDonalds and other cheap places.

I will stand by the fact that Greggs taste nice and you could do far worse for such a price; a hot sausage bean and cheese melt on a rainy morning waiting for the bus is what being a briton is all about
