Yeah bro. It depends on the burger though. Growing up in NZ the classic homemade burger was beef patty, cheese, tomato, pickled beetroot, lettuce, fried egg, tomato sauce (ketchup for you Americlaps) mayo and onion.

>> No.17732420

I enjoy it, it goes great with ketchup

On the other hand I resent the egg white part, it's usually tasteless and goes completely missing in a typical bite of a burger.

Might have to try savory custard or hollendaise sometime

Good but done badly like 75% of the time I order an egg on my burger. Most burger places toast the bun so by the time the burger hits my table the bun and patty have cooked the egg through and hardened the yolk.

>> No.17732525

>>17732223
personally I don't really like it. The yolk makes it extremely drippy and the egg is so slippery that the bun starts to slide around.

I'm not acoustic however so if there's a yummy burger on the menu that has egg on it I'll still take it, pairs well with burgers with bbq sauce and caramelized onions

if you aren't making the burger for the gram the you can cook the egg so it doesn't ooze out the side

I had a burger patty with eggs a couple of days ago. It was delicious

>> No.17733905

I used to dislike it, not because it tastes bad but because I didn't find it to add anything, but then I started making breakfast burgers replacing cheese with an egg, and in that context it works pretty well.

it's kind of pointless, you're already getting enough protein and fat from the meat

Greasy. A bit too much, esp. with cheese and bacon. Opens you up to accusations of hipsterism.
