Alright fuck off with these bait threads let's talk cookin

I've got these great value chicken wings but they always come out really soft they fall off the bone and the breading is soft. It's like biting wet bread with a bone inside.

You are supposed to cook them at 375 for about 15-20 minutes

Please read these reviews im sure you'll get a good kek

Why would you put wings in the oven? They will never become crisp. Put them in the air fryer or deep fry them like normal. Frying will make even cheap wings taste like restaurant quality easily.

You basically just said why put wings in an oven when you can put them in a small oven.

An air fryer is a convection oven that uses hot, circulated air to rapidly cook food and make it crispy. A normal oven uses a heating element to slowly disperse heat over time.

Frozen chicken fries and thin nuggets can be decent, because it’s SUPPOSED to be just a little sliver of chicken inside the breading

frozen chicken breasts? buy fresh, i think its worth it

It uses microwaves, not circulating hot air. There's a reason your phone gets nervous when near a microwave that's on but not an oven.
>>17722720
And how does an air fryer get the air hot and the oven disperse it's heat? Could it be that heating element that sits above the basket in an air fryer and the circulating of air in an oven?

An air fryer is a small convection oven that is based on the design of large convection ovens. Therefore, an air fryer is a small convection oven.

The real question is, why are you buying the breaded, seasoned frozen wings? They sell unbreaded, unseasoned frozen wings right next to them. It's much easier to get the skin crispy in an over than to try to crisp up that inevitable soggy breading.

i second the anon that said to broil them. make sure they're on the top rack

No need for that imo, I usually place them in the middle or one lvl up. Normal baking gives better results vs broil, but it takes maybe x2 in bake time. Also, after a lot of different rubs, brines and marinades, I've gone back to the basics, s&p, dry veg& msg mix and maybe a bed of onions.
