What do you think is safer, European or East Asian fish?

The Baltic sea is shallow, cold, and has had over a century of industrial pollution sitting on the bottom. This makes me wary of products of Germany and Poland.

On the contrary China, Thailand, and the Philippines has all of that funk entering the water right now. But their water has more surface area and volume to dilute that pollution.

>i'm mostly interested in skinless/boneless fish
Pic related. But even better, just get over it, the skin & bones in cooked tinned fish are harmless, being essentially tasteless and just adding a little texture, even a little extra nutrition in some cases. (Has anyone here EVER choked on the bones in pressure-cooked canned fish? Even in salmon, the little spine fragments are like mildly crunchy treats.)

>what's a good way to eat canned fish?
If you really like canned fish, then straight out of the can is fine. Otherwise, if you ask on /fit/, the two top answers are:
>sardines on toast with Tabasco sauce
Untoasted bread is fine too, and other hot sauces are fine too, but this is a kino combo, not just a meme. As for the bread, I'd say rye.
>"fisherman's eggs", i.e. a giant fried sloppa mess of eggs, canned deenz, and perhaps some veggies if you're posh
Bonus: if your canned fish is packed in oil, you can use that for the pan (inb4 sneed oils, your conspiracy facts can't stop be because I can't read).

Hey, do you like... pickled things? Because pickled herring is fantastic, preferably eaten with pretzels and/or chips/crisps and several XBOX HUEG glasses of lager. Being a ronin samurai, I eat it from the jar from chipsticks.

It is worth it. Best deenz I've tasted. Will try plain olive oil next time. I believe in premium conservas now. There was maybe two scales as far as I could tell. The fish in the middle was fucking HUEG. I wasn't planning to use the oil so I ended up saving it in the fridge because it's actually really flavorful and barely fishy smelling. I did eat the pepper which wasn't so bad since it was on a cracker. It's hotter than expected though. Glad I grabbed a drink.

The fish was tender and flaky and tasted nice straight out of the sous vide. It was definitely easier to skin and debone after cooking because I could just flake the fish by hand and feel/pull out bones as I went (disclaimer I am inexperienced in butchering fish).
Once the fish cooled down to room temperature, it still tasted pretty much the same though not as pleasant as when it was straight out of the sous vide bath. I imagine giving it the full seasoning treatment I normally give to canned fish would improve it beyond canned fish quality.
Overall, would recommend for emulating canned fish when the storage time is short term to save some money or use unusual fish (e.g., trout like I did).
I think this would be great for meal prep without having to worry about reheating fish fillet.
