I live in a rough neighborhood.

We have an old lady walking in the middle of the road at night in her nightgrown. We have tvs and sofas laying in the ditches and one guy who loves to yell at nothing but mostly at day so i dont care. If i would pull out my grill at midnight nobody would care.

I used to do it quite often when I was an unemployed alcoholic.
Day sleeping, massive hangovers, avoiding people and society. I'd be out there cooking pork chops and burgers at like 4 AM, its dead fucking quiet and the smoke is super noticeable to all the neighbors, but fuck them. My blood alcohol content is like 0.30 at least and fucking hungry

Nah man, I used to do it in the winter, while living in a cheap apartment. You get off work super late and have raw ingredients in the fridge and haven't eaten all day and you need to cool down and relax. Go out and fire up the community grill, have yourself some nice steak, grilled corn, onions, and a little aluminum packet with buttered greens. You know if you do a high-stress job you won't want to sleep for 4 hours after.

sorry, when everybody had their windows open because it was cool out. I live in a black neighborhood and they were being obnoxious so i went outside every night for weeks and fried. I posted a shit ton of pic but i lost them all, they surface every once in awhile you'll see a little fryer on a nasty table with a machete.

I rent in an upscale apartment complex with a very nice outdoor grill. Even has like a egg-timer setting for gas so you don't burn the place down.

I've never used it once.
I frequently want to, but I get anxiety thinking about using it at night next to whomever's apartment.

I used to DM d&d in highschool where we all played at this one dude's grandparents' house. They slept like corpses and we'd play til 3am, so he would always fire up the grill around 11pm and slap some burgers or hotdogs out there for us to eat at the midpoint session break.
