What's the best chicken dish you've ever had?

>> No.17701216

Some indian slop on rice. Can't remember what it was called but it's just the typical curry base. Tomato/onion/garlic/ginger/turmeric/a bunch of spices.

Just salt and pepper? Even traditional anglo cooking is more complex than that

Rotisserie chicken is just the best.

Even with a pantry full of spices, I’m more than happy with just salt and pepper on a well cooked roast

Butter chicken, though the chicken really isnt the star of the show there.

Id probably have to say a good chicken fricassee if you really want to highlight the chicken.

I can understand if you use the gravy but otherwise it sounds boring

>> No.17701656

>>17701651
The gravy goes on the potatoes you should be serving with the roast. Dude is right that a well brined and roasted bird is perfect as-is.

>> No.17701663

>>17701564
Yep. The chicken was such good quality it didn't need anything except to be well seasoned and cooked to perfection.

This specific chicken was a year old and fed on vegetable scraps/free range.

Bigger chicken means the breast and thigh cook evenly when baking.

You can eat fertilized chicken just the same as duck. I wish I could still buy either where I live now.
>>17701574
This. Rotisserie done correctly or pressure-frying.

Coq Au Vin probably
But I only like it once in a while, a nice rotisserie chicken is just amazing every time

I made coq au vin a couple of Christmases ago (proper 3+ day version, homemade stock, no shortcuts). Was very tasty, but not as photogenic as your pic.

why is japanese cuisine so hilariously bad?
the main staple dish of nipponland is sushi which is literally just fish on rice
their curry is just watered soup
ramen is just inferior version of authentic Chinese noodles
even instant noodles is taiwanese (Chinese) and not from japan

why could the nips not make a satisfactory cuisine?

The best chicken was just bbq chicken with just a very simple rub.
Chicken and charcoal goes perfectly together, chicken in sauce like coq au vin is also nuce but ruins the skin.
