Why do any vegans eat shitty processed fake meats or try to make and eat mimic meat food when there so many good traditional vegan foods and you can make good vegan food yourself. Vegetarian are especially absurd because they can still eat eggs and milk products so they still have access to basically almost every Italian food and many more. Just seems silly

most of the push for meatesque products is from the big companies who are trying to appeal to the common man with something that seems familiar and happens to be cheaper to produce

No vegans actually eat any of those things OP

Seems like every decade or so we get a big fake meat push and everything it starts with tons of hype then fucking dies as fast as it started.

Most vegans don't eat this shit. There's plenty of other food to eat, and food that isn't pretending to be meat is both tastier and more nutritionally dense. This shit is worthless.

No, we don't

Yes, you do. Every single vegan has either fake meat, fake dairy, or fake eggs. What I don't understand is why you feel the need to lie. I know there are plenty of great dishes that have no animal products but its a lot of extra work and time to prepare them. Meat, dairy, and eggs are the glue that brings a dish together with little to no effort. They truly are a miracle food.

I knew a vegan who ate nothing but falafel and potatoes. If I still knew him I'm sure he would be eating this shit up.

Most vegans don't actually want to eat plants.
This lets them pretend they're eating meat without giving up their soapbox.

Even then, most will give up the diet after a year anyway.
