"is an enameled dutch oven worth the money"? absolutely. is a Le Creuset worth the premium over competitors? in terms of performance probably not, the difference may come down to customer service at that point, not the piece in itself.

LeCreuset brand, not really. The enamel coating isn't very durable, and unless you baby it with handwashing, wooden/plastic tools, and never ever bump it, it's going to chip eventually. Grab a similar Lodge for 1/10th the price as it's not all that different otherwise.

I've owned a Lodge and an Amazon enamled dutch oven. Both were very good, with the amazon brand being a little easier to clean. Then one day I stumbled across a Le Creuset for sale for like $60 at a remaindered store. While I'd like it to be a meme but the thing cleans easier, heats evener and is generally better.

That being said it isn't that much better. If you have a chance to grab one for cheap do so, otherwise grab a lodge or an amazon.

No, good enameled cast iron is widely available under many brands. You are paying a massive premium for a good product that isn't worth the increase in price. It will not make you any better of a cook than a $29.99 enameled cast iron dutch oven from a local big box store. It's like purchasing a $300 knife. Sure, it'll likely be good quality, but you'd be far better off purchasing a few $20 knives since you don't know how to properly sharpen them anyway.

Woks are thin and have a narrow bottom so you can get the blistering heat all the way to the side where you stir fry things.

A thick skinned wok where the heat is concentrated on the (narrow) bottom makes little sense. Why not just get a wide and flat pan with high walls? Should do the same job on induction but better.

My brother has some and loves them. He also loves to buy expensive kitchen gadgets. I picked up a Lodge about Christmas time. Absolutely love it. No problems so far. Made a pot roast today. Braised it on the stove top, threw it in the oven, pulled it out, removed the meat snd veg and made gravey in it on the stove top. Bread also bakes well in cast iron. I got mine for 20$ at a thrift store, its got a few chips in the ceramic but this is of little consequence.

They are indeed good pots- but are poor products.
Safe your money and buy something similar.

For instance I have a clay tangine, which cost almost nothing, which performs marginally better for slow cooking.
I have cast iron, bought second hand, which performs just as well for cooking meat.
I rarely use either because my creuset is easier to clean- but it's marginal.
If I couldn't get one for 20$ I just wouldn't have one and would spend a bit longer cleaning a tangine.

I had one of those- Lasted 5 years. My current bottom of the market wok type pan cost 8.99 and is still usble at 1 1/2 years so it's not cost effective to get premium le creuset anodized aluminium. You can get one like Le Creuset for about 1/4 of the price.

Staub is probably better than LC, but the dark interior sucks for so many things though. Making dark roux in them is horrible. I find the Lodge/Cuisinart enamel ones to be cheap and nearly as good.
