Buy a Brita filter specifically for it. They're cheap enough if you deep fry often that it's easily worth it. It will filter out the overwhelming majority of particulates and off flavors. To the point that you can reuse the same oil over a dozen times until it's finally oxidized enough that it starts to get rancid. Also use a Brita filter to instantly turn bottom shelf rot gut liquor into upper midshelf. That bottle of rich and rare whiskey for $7/fifth now taste exactly as good as some Jameson.

It genuinely does. It filters out impurities to the point where you won't even get the nasty hangovers usually associated with rot gut liquor. I know full well that it sounds like horseshit but actually try it. It's legitimate. What exactly do you think the difference between two bottles of 40% alcohol really come down to other than quality of filtration?
