You done goofed and the consequences will never be the same. What did you do?

I looked away from the oven for 0.002 seconds while trying to make croutons and burned them beyond belief.

I got off to a bad start because I set the oven at 200F rather than 200C, so I thought I'd broil on high to make up for it. I was wrong!

The following happened when I was like 19.
>parents going out of the house for a while
>they left me dinner
>open the fridge, see ingredients for a surf & turf
>overcook the steak a little, but it still tastes alright
>never tried cooking lobster tail before
>cook it on the frying pan
>the shell is cooking before the meat
>the meat is still undercooked, while the shell has already turned red
>continue cooking it
>the shell is now burning, and the meat is still undercooked
>end up microwaving a fucking lobster because I didn't want to keep burning the shell (and stinking up the house)
>most people complain about the toughness of overcooked steak
>but I managed to make the lobster tougher than the steak that I know I overcooked
>parents return home
>"So how was your dinner, Anon?"
>"i-it was good..."
Pic unrelated.

I did this. Watching some dollery do lady on YouTube. Set my oven at 250F instead of C. Ruined my meal.

not sure if this counts, but a friend of mine blew up his kitchen making explosives on his stove
he was filming a war movie with some buddies and made his own mortar practical effects
not sure exactly what went wrong but he was in the hospital for a while and had to completely remodel the kitchen

>making a Mr. P's pizza
>"ready in 7 minutes!" on the front of the box
>fuck me i know what i have to do
>pop in microwave, high, 7 fucking minutes
>come back into kitchen to find the microwave billowing in smoke, the ENTIRE pizza charcoal black, not a goddamn edible morsel left on it
My most memorable dun goofed moment

I had a lot of people waiting for dinner and it was already 8 pm, so I turned up the heat too high and burnt it to a crisp. Honestly still not bad, just pulled it and mixed it in, a little crunchy but not as burnt tasting as I figured.

Yeah. Reminds me of the time mother and father were overseas for business and I had to fend for myself. There was foie gras in the fridge but I didn't know how to cook it, so I sent for our personal chef, who turned out to be non-attendant (his daughter was in the hospital or something, naturally father had him executed on return). So I had to eat whatever the maid managed to whip up.
