So, I need to buy a new kitchen robot because the old one died.
I'm not an expert and I'm not really able to choose from the bazillion models on Amazon, however I sure as hell don't want chink shit and cheap products, I need something that will last years.
I eyed pic related, a Kitcheaid Artisan, mainly because of the very low wattage and because of the direct shift engine but shit's expensive as fuck, there are a tons of other well known brands with producs that costs half the money but I don't know why.

I make bread, brioches, sweets and on, so far I only used max 1 kg of flour to make the dough, so I need a product that can handle this amount of flour, possibly more, and most importantly it needs to run without pauses to cool the engine down (the one I have now requires 5 minutes stop every fucking 5 minutes of use at ANY speed...).
I want something well built, sturdy and without stupid shit or cheap parts.

Thanks.

I mostly make bread, pizza and focaccia bread, all of them high hydration, then other dough for brioches, croissants and leavened sweets.
For now this is what I use the robot for.

What model and why doesn't it work? Just fix it. If you're retarded, ask /diy/. Otherwise, I'd get a Hobart if I were you.

I don't remember the brand, it's German but it costs like 130€, it's a fucking toy, also when I use it it drops pieces of black shit like dried grease or metal dust, I've been using it for months and now I'm scared for my health lol.

Also

>5 minutes of cool down every 5 minutes of usage

Nope, just fuck this shit.

I have a non tilting model and it's doing fine for bread. Including pizza dough.

>KitchenAid is shit for breadmaking.
Can confirm. Actually, any stand mixer is just shit for working dough. Hands are the way to go. Also, there's an issue with dough burning out mixer motors prematurely because it's hard work for them.

Look for a used Kitchen Aid. They're easy to find because they've been around forever. They're the tractors of kitchen equipment (i.e. an engine you can attach things to). You can find refurbished ones much cheaper.

Hobart is more durable than kitchenaids, but harder to find. You sound european since you call it a robot like a frenchie, so KitchenAids are probably easier to buy off amazon. That said. NEVER buy the artisan model, only the Professional models. It's vastly inferior. Not only will your gears grind very quickly, they use a head tilt system which makes baking a bit of a pain using the paddle attachment, you have to scrape the sides a ton in butter based batters and doughs. The bowl is also a screw in type that you twist to lock it in. That means you can't put the bowl in a double boiler, a baigne marie for you, to temper egg whites and sugar and then beat it, so swiss meringues are a chore instead of a breeze. Basically if you're only doing bread, use your hands, if you're doing cookies, cakes (for decorating, stackable), meringues and marshmallows, anything that requires sugar to be at a certain temp prior to mixing, you'll be vastly underserved and possibly annoyed at the artisan version, while the professional avoids all of these issues. Also the euro versions of it have this weird metal disc around the attachment pin that just gets dirty all the fucking time and you basically have to take a rotating saw to it to get it off. Horrible design.

I got one of these for Christmas and mainly just use it for Sourdough bread. It's been holding up pretty well, no problems.

If cost is a factor but you still want commercial grade (instead of the prosumer bullshit) look at a Globe.
The cheaper of the 2 options takes standard attachments but is kinda ugly. The larger one looks better sitting on the counter but doesn't have the power head for attachments and is way bigger in person than any picture would have you believe.

The beauty of the Hobart tho is that it's not a variable-speed motor and the speed control is handled entirely in the gearbox so it's about impossible to to ever fuck up the motor or gears.

Doesn’t get you any closer to finding out where to buy them but this is the Hobart website for Italy if you want to check it out:

https://www.hobart.it/

Also anyone have any thoughts on the Ankarsrum (previously Electrolux) Assistent? It has an unusual design but there’s something about it that’s always made me want one.

The Ankarsrum can be bought from their website but it’s 699€ oof
