>buy cheap earbuds

>buy cheap clothes
>last years
>buy cheap tools

>buy cheap cookware
>burns everything, flakes off into your food, gets warped and damaged easy, falls apart in a few months

Why is cookware the last holdout of godawful manufacturing?

Hoovers and other household appliances also. And maybe you're just a cooklet, you can make 80% of dishes with a single pan

Just buy your cheap cookware from a thrift store. But it's probably like that because people still buy shitty cookware from Target/Walmart, pretty much every person between 20-30 who doesn't cook has a set of cookware from Target/Walmart that they use maybe twice a month. Plus these people don't know better so once their pan falls apart they'll just buy another from the same place.

you literally cannot fuck up stainless steel or cast iron. it is just metal, there is no flaking, no warping and anything you burn is due to your own incompetence and shitty cooking skills.

This. I know a guy that sometimes uses the same cast iron skillet that he cooks with as a shooting target.

one of the two cast-iron skillets I have is an 8inch Ozark Trail from the camping section of walmart. It cost 9 dollars plus tax. If you thought Lodge had a rough surface, you don't even know. But I cook with it regularly and it's as nonstick as any pan you've ever had. Last night I made fried rice and it came off so clean I didn't even need to clean it.

You would be surprised how brittle cast iron is. Drop it on the handle and it will snap off.

If you left very salty liquid in stainless it will start pitting and rusting after a while, but you almost need to try to fuck up your stainless.

I'm having difficulty imaging this scenario unless I'm trying to destroy the pan. If you're holding the pan by its handle how are you going to drop it on the handle?

Maybe you pick it up a d don't realize it's hot and before you drop the pan you kinda pull it towards yourself and it tips off the stove. Kind of a stretch, but never underestimate the clumsy.

My other guess would be that you drop it and it sort of bounces and smacks the handle hard after the bounce.

Kyocera was actually founded as the "Kyoto Ceramic Company" (Kyo-Cera). In addition to making ceramic insulators and semiconductors, they also made other ceramic consumer goods such as pens and knives. It wasn't until much later that they merged with several other electronics companies that they began to produce full consumer electronics like phones and printers instead of just the ceramic components.

Or, fuck all that and microwave everything.
