Discuss and share recipes involving oats & oatmeal, the only grain worth eating. I'll share my oatmeal recipe to start off:

1/2 cup steel cut oats
1 cup whole milk
microwave 1:40

1 scoop vanilla micellar casein
1 heaping spoonfull wheat germ
1 heaping spoonfull chia seeds
1/4 spoonful powdered peanut butter
1 partial twist sea salt grinder
1 small slice of european or irish butter

I have been considering adding flax seeds, and have been experimenting with removing the butter and salt completely, as they aren't really needed for flavoring anymore with the powdered peanut butter and vanilla casein, though i do think the butter makes it a little creamier.

casein would be better unless your oats are for some reason directly before or after a workout.

Maybe off topic but I make my own granola every week and if you have too much oats, it's convenient to use them before they go bad. This is the recipe oatbros:

4 cups rolled oats
1 1/2 cups any nuts/seeds you want (walnuts almonds hemp hearts flax seeds chia seeds etc)
1/2 cup raisins
1tsp cinnamon
1tsp fine salt

1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract

Pre-heat oven to 350f and line a baking sheet. Use a latex glove to mix everything together in a large bowl, making sure each oat is coated. Transfer onto a lined baking sheet, spreading into a even layer with your gloved hand. Cook for 10 minutes, then take out and mix with a spatula. Flatten the granola down as hard as you can now. 10-13 more minutes, don't let it get much color. Take out and let cool on stovetop DON'T TOUCH for at least 30 minutes. This is when it becomes clusters and sticks together. Enjoy.

would using the cheap shit affect it? im thinking not since it has so much other flavors going on already.

it's like half a can of maple syrup so 3 or 4 leafbux or so. in terms of flavour you can barely taste it so you can use honey or make a simple syrup or whatever you prefer. it's more important to coat every oat. coat every oat. coating every oat and the flattening it mid baking is the key to good granola

That's a lot of shit to put in oatmeal. I just do
per person:
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 cup water
1 tablespoon sugar
pinch of salt
combine in pot, heat on low, stirring, until done
Anyone have a good recipe for oatcakes?

>Mango powder
never heard of this, going to find some, ty.

OP here tried a new add-ins recipe this morning
1 spoonfull ground flax seed
1 spoonfull chia seed
1 spoonfull wheat germ
1 spoonfull polen
a tad? of powdered peanut butter
1 scoop casein
no butter, no sugar, no salt
the pollen was a bit of a strong flavor but im gonna do it again tomorrow to see if it gets easier or if i hate it worse the more i eat it.

i want to incorporate honey, turmeric, cinnamon, and hulled hemp seed hearts. as many "supplemental superfoods" as i can.
i dont think i can add the honey, turmeric or cinnamon though, i think it will be a fucking abomination.

its a bit thick but these plus my daily supplement stack @ breakfast gives me a hell of a boost for the day.
