For me, it’s the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.

One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, “Wow, three for free!” and the nice friendly McDonald’s worker laughed and said, “I’m going to call you 3-for-free!”.

Now the staff greets me with “hey it’s 3-for-free!” and ALWAYS give me three packets. It’s such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald’s restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I’m in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.

I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it’s delicious! What a great restaurant.

For me, the McChicken might not stand out as the flashiest sandwich or anything but it does stand the test of time. It is the stalwart workhorse that is always there for you and never gives anything less than 110%. Sure it’s been dabbling in some fads lately, they’re trying to dress it up and make it something it’s not, but we all know that’s not the real McChicken.

Perfectly toasted bun, all white meat patty with perfect texture and seasoning, chopped iceberg lettuce to deliver a balanced taste of freshness and texture without overwhelming the sandwich. And of course the McChicken Sauce. It’s not mayo, it’s McChicken Sauce. It’s the linchpin that really contributes to the gestalt of this truly wonderful sandwich. Whether it is a snack, lunchtime or dinner item or - dare I say - late night indulgence, the McChicken stands above the rest if only because it is always there for you and is consistently satisfying. The perfect balance of seasoned umami that fills you up so profoundly that it’s almost like our stomachs have a McChicken-shaped compartment that can only be filled by this modern manna.

While the chicken sandwich war rages on the McChicken stands alone. I’d say it was the winner but it was the winner decades before the battle was even conceived. It IS the chicken sandwich, it’s that simple

I like the sauce on it, plus it's the only rare meat thing that isn't sausage or bacon they serve in the morning. Wish they had beef as well.

i remember seeing some mcdonalds spreadsheet on here or somewhere else years ago and the sausage mcmuffin was low 90s cents or something when they charged a dollar. i don't know the context of it as in what all it factored in(just food costs or labor overhead etc) but the sausage egg was like 8 cents or some single digit cents more

I'm assuming it's the real egg round here; if I'm wrong and it's that scrambled egg sheet, then it's totally a rip. They need whole fresh eggs for this, which are a lot more expensive to move/store than frozen muffins/sausage rounds bought in bulk. They gotta worry about the shelf life too.
