For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.

One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".

Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.

I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.

I only ever cared about Mcdonalds as a kid when there was a good happy meal toy. Reliability. I can go anywhere in the world and if I'm unsure about the local food I can just go to a McDonalds. I will get a double quarter pounder without onion and pickles and have it with large fries and a large drink. Or sometimes a Big Mac without onion and pickles. Can't go wrong. It's also cheap. When I travel, I don't waste money on "fine food", it's almost impossible to find an actually good restaurant abroad unless you know a local.

Is it me or is fast food quality more dependable on the west coast? In Massachussetts there were six McDonalds near me growing up and it was expected that you'd get something made improperly, dry, and might not even be your order at best, and food poisoning at worst. There were two "good McDonalds", and we'd drive past like three other McDonalds to get to the good one. The good one cooked the food normally and usually didn't fuck your order up.

In LA, people just google "nearest mcdonalds", either mobile order or drive to it and order there, and even tho the employees can be rude like every fast food place, they don't seem to fuck the order up nearly as much. I went to a McDonald's deep in the "hood" in LA, bulletproof glass and everything, and the food was perfectly fine and hot as if Ronald himself could bust in at any moment. Weirdly picture-perfect each time, if that makes sense. I could actually taste fucking sesame seeds popping in beef grease in each bite, which is something you'd never taste with the single-bite buns and hockey puck patties common at east coast McDonalds

Also, when it gets really busy, occasionally, a patty will fall on the floor and still get used.
They're completely crazy about the percentage of money they are paying on labor. They closely monitor it by the hour and will send people home if there isn't enough business coming in, EVEN IF THAT'S BEFORE THE DINNER RUSH.
They were also pretty crazy about not allowing OT because the managers get a really small bonus if they don't allow OT.
They give you one free meal a day which can be used on anything except 5 selects and a double quarter pounder I think. But they're crazy stingy otherwise. For example, you couldn't get a McChicken meal and add a slice of cheese on it (not that it matters, the cheese there isn't really real)
There's no McFlurry machine really. It's just a device that stirs the ice cream and McFlurry toppings. I used to sometimes not even use that and stir it by hand.

Starting to think this is pasta because Chicken Selects aren't a thing anymore. But yes, my franchise gave you a free meal. You couldn't get some of the more premium items. Later, they changed it to 50% off on a day you worked.
