actually, I just found out that this standard is used elsewhere too, such as Indonesia
it's a very common standard these days
just looked it up, without earth clips on the side it's called type C, and with those clips it's called type F

>> No.17483274

Does it have a fan or a heatsink? The integrated ones do not have this problem and I can imagine the portable ones are kind of shit. Still strange, the integrated stovetops barely get hot after you move the pot compared to electric.

>>17480468
actually, the induction plate doesn't make that much sound at all (OP here)
and my laptop is literally fanless, so it doesn't make any sound whatsoever, other than those characteristic electric sounds when the CPU is working if I listen very closely
>>17481426
kek
if I sat on it, I guess it wouldn't heat me at all
not going to try though, maybe it'd fuck up the iron in my blood or something
>>17481533
it's pretty localized as far as I'm aware, but take the precautions you must
I've been using it lately literally right next to my laptop (~20 cm from the edge of the plate to my laptop), and can't say I've noticed anything
I'm using SSD though, but I don't really see why that would be more resistant, I just think the magnetic field from the oven doesn't really extend noticeably away from the plate itself
>>17481566
is that an induction oven?
how do they do it, with a metal sheet at the bottom?

>> No.17483285

>>17483238
are you sure it's overheating?
it's supposed to turn on and off to regulate the temperature
if it really is, then I don't know what to tell you, definitely not how it should work
not sure why you got the extra pots and pans unless you didn't already have steel ones, I'm just using the regular stainless steel pots I already had, they work like a charm
