Does it have a fan or a heatsink? The integrated ones do not have this problem and I can imagine the portable ones are kind of shit. Still strange, the integrated stovetops barely get hot after you move the pot compared to electric.

I've been using it lately literally right next to my laptop (~20 cm from the edge of the plate to my laptop), and can't say I've noticed anything
I'm using SSD though, but I don't really see why that would be more resistant, I just think the magnetic field from the oven doesn't really extend noticeably away from the plate itself

if it really is, then I don't know what to tell you, definitely not how it should work
not sure why you got the extra pots and pans unless you didn't already have steel ones, I'm just using the regular stainless steel pots I already had, they work like a charm
