in finland (at least in the north) it is common to hunt moose, reindeer and various game fowl. i like them all. i hope you get to try sauteed reindeer sometime. it may look tough and dry and plain in some pictures but it's anything but.

I have no idea about swedes nor norwegians, but Finland has a massive history with famines, so people have been too focused on not to starve to death instead of focusing on perfecting delicious recipes. The famine stuff is so recent that we have people still alive that remember how it was back then.
