in finland (at least in the north) it is common to hunt moose, reindeer and various game fowl. i like them all. i hope you get to try sauteed reindeer sometime. it may look tough and dry and plain in some pictures but it's anything but.

I've never had it but here's my take from just looking at the picture:
- Crust is somehow both dry and chewy while also flavorless.
- Filling is rice that is as overcooked as it is bland. Somehow, also dry.
- Dense shits afterwards.

crust is crispy and tastes of rye, filling is rice porridge made with milk, you usually add salty egg butter or just butter on top of it. they are eaten hot. it's tasty in my opinion.

I have no idea about swedes nor norwegians, but Finland has a massive history with famines, so people have been too focused on not to starve to death instead of focusing on perfecting delicious recipes. The famine stuff is so recent that we have people still alive that remember how it was back then.
We even have bread that's made half from sawdust.
