I’ve had dog meat before, prepared in a stew, and it was pretty good! If I were to compare it to a common meat in the US, I would say the flavor and texture is pretty similar to goat meat. Wish they served dog meat in the states!

It is objectively morally wrong to kill and eat dogs. Dogs are trusting service animals and companions. To mistreat and kill a dog for food is 90% as bad as doing it to a human. I don't give a fuck about pigs, horses, cows, sheep, or hell even cats. But anyone who would look a dog in the eyes and butcher it for meat has no soul and deserves to be slaughtered and sent back to hell from whence they spawned.

It's not like they are eating your dog. Oh by the way, no one cares about your stupid dog other than you. The only difference with dogs compared to other meat is that we don't raise them for meat. If you had a heard of fatass dogs raised and bred for eating it would be no different than anything else. I don't hate dogs but I do think it is pretty weird that people put them on this higher level compared to other animals.

The best dog Ive ever met is a lab, and me and him had a talk that if it came down to it I'd eat him, and he had full permission to eat me if it came down to it as well.

We shook on it but both of us know there probably wouldn't be a scenario where we would eat one another. He'd be too useful as a hunting partner and visa versa. Plus labs would be an absolute shit dog for meat, they are too prone to cancer.

Eating a dog bred for companionship makes no sense. We even have livestock breeds that are for companionship like bantam chickens, call ducks, mini pigs, etc. If we brought back the poi dog, which was bred basically act and even kind of look like a pig, then it would make sense popularize dog meat.
