Risotto is almost unfuckable. It was one of the first dishes I made when learning how to cook.

I watched how to with John Wilson and couldn't understand how he fucked up risotto so many times. Even his final risotto was shitty.

>saute onions in butter or olive oil
>toast rice once onions are ready
>deglaze with wine
>add warm broth occasionally while stirring
>add more broth when most has been evaporated/absorbed
>when rice is done to your liking, add parm and butter
wala

You need to stir it continuously for around 20 minutes. Based on your image I'm guessing you have cancer and can't manage that. Sorry, anon.

You're using risotto rice, right?

Try different brands of rice
I've always used the same exact technique for risotto and there's usually a pretty noticeable difference between the outcomes depending on the brand

This guy >>17437464 is not OP.

And no, I didn't rinse the rice.

I don't want to dunk on people little cooking skills, but making risotto is on par with making boxed mac and cheese.
Sure it takes longer, but it's no more difficult.

I'm pretty sure the people who fuck up Risotto just get impatient, then blame the dish.
