Cheese too early. You just toss the cheese on right near the end.

>> No.17387161

Put the kraft singles on top at the very end and put a lid on the pan, then take of off the heat adter 20 seconds and let the steam from the pan melt the cheese.

Not enough time cooking them, and too high of a heat. You crusted the outside, that's fine, but you left the middle under-cooked. Also, put the cheese on about 45 seconds before you intend to remove them.

that's exactly what i did tho. but even before that, there was so much fucking grease, i practically deep fried them.

Did you add oil to the pan before adding the burgers? I make them like this they don’t release that much grease. Just mop it up with a paper towel next time

>> No.17387333

It looks like the fat was bubbling up through the cheese but that side is already seared. Idk what’s wrong

It may not look like it, but you overcrowded the pan. In restaurants, burgers are either cooked over a char-broiler that allows the grease to fall between the grates, or on a flat-top grill where the grease is constantly scraped off into a drip pan. In a saucepan the grease has nowhere else to go but the shallowest part, so you may only be able to cook one or two patties at a time.

not that much my man. cheese too early and too much heat when you put the lid on.

Its just protein coming out because they steamed too hot unde rthe lid.put the cheese on 10 sec before you finish them, just cover them with a lid for 5 sec and its melted.

>> No.17388635

>>17387231
How much oil did you add to the pan beforehand? You really don’t need much if any when using anything 85% or lower. After a short cook time enough fat will melt to lubricate the pan. Honestly, a flat top works better. If you have a griddle or something where the excess can be scraped away it really helps. You’re cooking 4 burgers in one pan so it’s gonna become a grease pool. Maybe drain some of the fat as you cook if you still have the same problem.
