Mesa in Iowa City and that one place in Des Moines are pretty good. fairly generic "fancy" but still stands up to anything i've had in New York or Chicago (not a fan of deep dish)

the only issue with Casey's is how variable it is. sometimes it's served undercooked, when i order a pie from there i make sure to ask them to cook it about 2 minutes longer than normal.

I remember Paul Revere’s, they had those “wedges” that were sort of like calzones. Gumby’s was always my go-to, more for the Pokey Stix than the pizza though

I remember The Wedge as being pretty good and also Pizza on Dubuque just because it was like the only place at the time where you could get a single slice
