What's eating my chocolate? This is the top of a 6" round of millionaire's shortbread that's been sat covered in foil with a heavy plate on top for a couple of weeks. The fat bloom I understand, but it looks like a single tiny insect got in and had a whale of a time journeying across the land of chocolate. I inspected it carefully and couldn't find any insects, the lump in the very middle was just an air bubble.

You will eat the bugs and you will like it!

that just looks like crystalizing sugar or salt

it there are bugs you'll have to check under the chocolate IN the trails and look for bug shit. I think what you're seeing is natural though

>> No.17371637

It's could be the palm kernel oil or other fats or milk solids in the chocolate crystallizing at different temperatures.

Damnit I wish I could eat a trail through a land of chocolate.

Crystallization works in crazy ways. It's probably just the branching pattern it formed.

You can if you follow your dreams anon. Remember, if you can think it, you can dream it, you can do it

i mean i want to say maybe a bug walked across it, which marred up the surface, encouraging crystallization wherever it stepped. definitely kinda neat looking

That's pretty plausible, and it makes more sense of the areas where the trail fades away.
