Anything on the roller grill.
Tacquitos, egg rolls, sausages, one I frequently went to even had what were basically sausage shaped chicken nuggets, some of which had cheese and even bacon in them.

I have never had gas station food. Is it decent? Is it at least worth the price? Is it actually food? I feel gentrified, I didn't think people actually ate it

>> No.17363348

noble romans pizza express breadsticks and nacho cheese. They actually tastes more like pretzels than breadsticks.
But is a pretzel a breadstick?

It's real food, just shitty sysco level shit that they put in their gas station cooker and then set out under the heat lamp. It's probably gross if you're picky, but I've eaten the taquitos a lot. It's definitely hot food that fills you up, so I guess it's worth the price.

this I wanna know too. Sometimes the hot dogs look decent. I don't even know how to get coffee at a 7-eleven. On their website they show images of a cappucino and latte, but I don't know how that works since the cups are just sitting by the coffee machine. Do you make it yourself?

It's literally just that. People got offended because the staff put up a bunch of really patronizing stickers that said "Please insert a cup before pressing the button", "For a LARGE, please press the LARGE button", "Large is the big cup", "Hot coffee is hot".

>> No.17363438

>>17363363
Yeah, you just grab a cup and choose whatever drink you want from the machine. All the drinks are the same price and the guy at the counter just scans a barcode on the cup when you're done. At some places now you can even use an app on your phone and scan the cup yourself and pay for it like that. I haven't tried it yet, but you basically just tap your phone against a machine by the door that tells the wagie you're using mobile checkout and not stealing a cup of coffee.

The gas station I go to is a mom and pop. They always have homemade BEC that are good. But the real delight, if it isn't sold out, is the breakfast burritos. They cost $5 and are usually sold out by 0700 they open at 0500. The mom makes real green and red smooth hot sauces that are the perfect amount of heat and flavor. It's one of the few gas stations that sell gasoline without corn and they are nice people to do business with.

As a man of discriminating taste, I go for anything I can top with the “chili” and “cheese” which has been aged to perfection in the push-button dispenser.
The complex flavors which have matured over time can not be replicated simply by buying equivalent things in cans. You will not find the level of refinement that can only occur with indeterminate age and being held at dispenser-warm temperature.

Indeed, gas station chili/cheese are the 20yr Scotch of toppings.

When I was in high school my home town had a 24 hour gas station that sold THE BEST fried chicken wings in history. They were the perfect level of spicy, salty and crunchy. I went there about 3 years ago and the place had changed hands, the whole kitchen area had been converted to more refrigerators and CBD snake oil sales space, but those wings will be missed.

I also love their Sausage, Egg, and Cheese sandwiches on Waffle buns. Their Breakfast burgers are god tier too when they have them.

I don't. The only thing worse than gas station food are premade sandwiches from a vending machine. The number of people expecting to get an actual fucking sandwich from those ripoffs is actually astounding. Anybody with sense knows you're going to get fucked...
