I call it "The All-American". You gotta mush up the spam first though and spread it on top of the leaf of iceberg lettuce. Mayo goes on both sides with the egg on top of the spam.
Cut it in half diagonally and eat it with Pringles.

>Sopresatta (chopped and griddled)

My ex, an American, used to call my signature sandwich a fancy BLT:
Proper baguette.
Split.
Pancetta.
Mixed lettuces dressed with balsamic vinaigrette.
Sliced tomato.

I also like proper ham on mayo-spread sandwich bread with shaved green apple. Ham and apple is such a classic combo that I wonder why it seems like no one puts'em together in a sandwich but me.

Question: do you fold/crumple the meat onto your sandwiches or just place them down as flat slices? And either way, which country are you from originally?
Background: I'm Euro living in the US. This is not a "do Americans really!?!?!?" sort of thing. Well, it kinda is, but I don't mean it to start shit. Just genuinely curious. I've noticed that people here in the US tend to just lay the slices on the bread flat while back home, we fold/crumple it. And it's not just an American thing because I know Algerians and Tunisians do it the same way with just laying the meat slices flat. Idk wtf Moroccans do. Probably steal your bread and claim it was theirs all along or some shit. But Tunisians and Algerians definitely just lay that shit flat.

Canadian here. Eh, it depends on the type of meat, how much, the shape of the bread, and even how lazy I'm feeling. Sometimes I'll fold the meat to get better arrangement/coverage, while other times I'll just lay it out flat in slices. I'm not some artsy fuck who needs to arrange his meat in a ruffled sine-wave pattern before I slap it all together. I get the purpose, both aesthetically and texturally, but if I'm making it for myself then I can't be bothered.

Also I assume you're talking about Arabic Algerians here, and I'm surprised to learn they even eat sandwiches regularly.

Yeah, they love them shits. Shockingly, they most often use a Jewish salami, kashir (cognate with kosher) that comes in quite a wide variety such as with olives in it, Tunisian style (IE with harisa), peppered, sweet (digusting, IMO) and regular ol' plain. Also, this Spam-like chicken loaf stuff.
It's not all couscous and laham mishwe.
