I was raised vegetarian and I’m looking for the ultimate meat experience once I move out. What’s the best meat you’ve ever had?

>> No.17354018

>>17354004
You should try human meat so you cant just say it tastes like pork or whatever

>> No.17354047

If you are American then get some BBQ. A texas style smoked brisket, or if its southern/memphis/east coast then pork shoulder.

>> No.17354059

Where are you located? For me the ultimate meat experience would be smoked pork ribs no sauce. I doubt you will find that most places so maybe fried chicken? You can get pretty decent fried chicken at most grocery stores.

>> No.17354071

>>17354059
This, get some ribs OP. I think dry rub with BBQ on the side is better than them being drenched in sauce but it's not a big deal.

This is the first thing I thought of. American bbq is divine. Im usually stuck in southeast asia with no american bbq around.

Go to an actual restaurant and order ossobuco. It's a veal shank braised in wine and broth, with the marrow still in the hole of the bone.

Beef short ribs. Whether at a BBQ place or a french restaurant, they are extremely tender and delicious, and always slow-cooked to a high temperature if you haven't adjusted to medium-rare meats. Other options:
Fast food
>In-n-out burger
Casual chain restaurant
>cheesecake factory, steak diane with chicken madeira
High-end
>wagyu yakiniku with bone marrow rice
personal nostalgia and home cooking
>Koobideh kabob
Mexican
>birria tacos dorados
Chinese
>xinjiang lamb skewers (chuanr)
korean
>Galbi

Eating a large amount of meat after a lifetime without it will seriously fuck you up. At least start with some chicken or beef broth to see how your digestive system reacts.

I've always loved pork. As someone who has been raised a vegetarian I'd say probably some sort of chicken dish.

Anyways, try a ribeye or a porterhouse from a nice steakhouse. If you can stomach it. My friend didn’t eat much meat (dietary problems) and he couldn’t stand the texture of steak.

i doubt you'll find a place that can do a decent, roasted breast meat and thigh cut of chicken that isn't fast food.
depending on where you're at it might be a lot harder to find a decent pork place. you can just do bacon if you want, but it's a pale representation of pork as a whole.
i personally wouldn't recommend burgers and rare steak for your first beef (if first). Medium steak maybe with some A1, shishkebabs definitely.

You really gotta start slow, anon. I went vegetarian for about ten years because I was retarded in college, and I made the mistake of jumping back into meat. Damn near killed me. You gotta start slow with stock. Get some low sodium chicken stock and start sipping on that for a bit. Once you've done that, you can work your way up to poultry. Red meat should be the last step, and fast food a step beyond that.

I would go with a fillet mignon, T-bone steak or Delmonico ribeye. Mac-n-cheese (or loaded baked potato) and green beans (or broccoli) as side dishes.

Get it from a good steakhouse. Ideally the best steakhouse in your city that you can afford. Longhorn Steakhouse is the worst steakhouse that you should consider. Don't do Outback, Black Angus or Texas Roadhouse.

Go easy at first. Small portions. You'll wreck your stomach otherwise.
That said everyone's different. Even bacon people like differently. A good steak I think I would recommend. Medium rare would be a good place to start and see what else you like.
For chicken, try baked before fried. Fried is great but again it'll destroy your stomach if you're not used to it and baked if done right is way juicier.
I'd find a restaurant, NOT A CHAIN near you and look at reviews, find out what most people like. Avoid BBQ places or bars honestly, that shit'll also wreck your stomach. Authentic italian or mexican.
