Southern California, grocery store is Vons. They were out of NY strip so I had to settle for filet but still. For that price it should be Prime. That being said, it is currently seared a bit too much, crust too black.

How does it compare to other cuts in a slow cooker? I normally use brisket or "Boneless beef chuck short ribs" which I believe is actually a chuck roast made to look like boneless ribs. Mostly use for birria tacos or yukgaejang.
