Now that, gentlemen, is a breakfast.
Pork roll, egg, and cheese on an untoasted everything bagel.

Why not get the bagel toasted? Otherwise I do agree. Pork roll/Taylor Ham is pretty damned good.

I don't really like bagels for breakfast sandwiches. They're too chewy and the fillings go everywhere when you bite. Then again maybe I've just never had a proper bagel since I'm from the South. But fortunately we have the actual best breakfast sandwich anyway.

As a north easterner, I feel the same way about the pic you posted. Too brittle, falls everywhere, not chewy enough. How funny is that?

It’s Taylor ham and central jersey doesn’t exist, also sausage is better. Pro tip tho get Mayo and hot sauce instead of ketchup, much better anon

Been here all my life and still haven't gotten one of those pork roll/taylor ham things. Is it worth going out of my way to look for it?

That is indeed a fair complaint. Kinda defeats the purpose of a sandwich being something you can just eat anywhere with no utensils or plates.

It’s a solid a solid breakfast sandwich, if it’s not you’re thing then you won’t think much of it. I’m from nj and I have one everyone once in a while. Biscuits are better tho

It's just a solid filling breakfast food. if you enjoy breakfast, it's nice. I get one before work probably 2-3 time a week. You can probably get one right now from a diner or deli that's still open

>> No.17342081

A Mexican joint near me sells a breakfast burrito the size of a premie for $4.50. Stuffed with ham, sausage, breakfast potatoes, egg, and cheese in an oversized tortilla. Then I get two plastic cups of their red sauce, douse every bite of it in sauce, and get ring sting the next morning.

Now THAT's breakfast.

I hate bagels, they're so chewy and plain. Am I missing something here or are bagel eaters lying about something or what?

>> No.17342157

>>17342000
Toasting a bagel hides the true flavor and texture of the bagel. And when used on a sandwich, it's too firm, causing the innards to squirt out.

Toasted bagels are for tastelets.

I never thought about it but I don't care for thek either. Smith's has some good ones, green chile and cheddar cheese, but there's no salt in the damn things; bagels are dense, chewy and have no taste because they don't put any damn salt.
