i've smoked a fair bit and have handled a fair amount of flower. i've seen everything from shows, pictures, documentaries, and everything else in between. legal and not legal. i've seen weed look liek that maybe once or twice in over ten years.
apparently that kind of sprouting and separation between dried tips that are the green part of the bud has to do with a chemical/protein/fertilizer used to quicken growth. that's not just 'it's a sativa, not indica, that's why'.

>decarb ground material in oven at 220F for 20 minutes
>use 1tbsp oil for 1g material
>add 1g lecithin for every 1g material
>bake in mason jar in oven for 3-4 hours at 200F, stirring it occasionally and burping the jar so it doesn't explode
>take it out and let it get to room temp, then freeze it overnight
>repeat the cooking and freezing process twice
>strain the material, oil should be pitch black
>make the best edibles ever
