I like to go to restaurants and order an “Arnold Palmer mixed with 1/2 iced tea”.
They always just bring me an Arnold Palmer. I guess because it’s half iced tea.
And then I ask them if they would mind making it again, but with 1/2 iced tea.
And when the server looks confused I explain that I wish for my drink to be 50% Arnold Palmer and 50% iced tea, and elaborate that the final ingredient ratio I want in my drink is 3:1 iced tea and lemonade, respectively speaking, but since there isn’t a common term for that particular mix of tea and lemonade it should make sense to ask for an Arnold Palmer mixed with 1/2 iced tea.
I honestly think it’s hilarious and I would think servers would appreciate a bit of humor added to their day but I’m usually the only one laughing and its awkward as fuck.
