It's my first time using it in dry rub. I didn't use much. Maybe a teaspoon. The rub turned out pretty good tho. I've done thighs marinated in it with orange juice, lemon juice and vinegar and they were good

Are egg shaped grills a meme or do they actually add anything? I grew up with the classic cheap ass charcoal Weber, and I currently have a standard barrel shaped grill and a barrel shape gas/charcoal smoker. I'm not a grill collector, just wondering why I see all these egg grills in the past few years.

Idk but these are such pieces of shit. I'm on my 3rd one becuase they rust out. I was having a hard time maintaining temp and the built in thermometer said it was 300. Then I put another probe in the top vent and it was over 400. I finally got it back down to 300 and my meats at 180 after only 3 hours. I would suspect I have an air leak where the rust is forming in the back/bottom

How rusted out is it? My understanding is that most of the rust comes from high temps, but I've never actually seen a clapped out grill with holes bad enough to fuck with cooking. I'll post a pic of my rusty one in a few
