Yes. It was good. Probably still is. It needed to be good. Have you ever had to attend or host a chucky bday party? All the games are funsized for little kids. There is nothing there for the parents but toil, chaos, misery, and pizza. I did get to see new mothers whip out their long leaking nipples at the table to compare once, so that was hot, but really the pizza is all you have to stay sane as a grown adult, and chucky delivers on that.

Yeah, the good ones felt like a sweeter Little Cezars pizza.

>>17307895
It was a joke at first. Dude who made Atari co founded Chuck E Cheeses, their main market was arcade machines, the pizza was a side gig. Which is hilliarious now that their main gig is pizza and their almost non existant side gig is arcades. How times have changed.

I never got to go to Chuck E. Cheese, I had my birthdays at the local bowling alley and arcade instead. Was it good? I imagine they'd have a better arcade section, albeit no on-rails zombie shooters.

It was good in 1985 when I had my birthday there. I remember the mozzarella cheese being particularly good. Then my dad yelled at me because he thought I was making fun of the statue of liberty because of the robotic band playing the star spangled banner, and I was not showing enough reverence at Chuck E Cheese

>> No.17310325

it was okay but aside from the robot band it's just a pretty average arcade, with most of the games geared towards younger kids. the pizza was edible but nothing to phone home about. even as a kid i was a tad disappointed since the commercials hyped it up so much!

They always had kids gaming stuff like the multicolored ball pit/pool, whack a mole, video games, some rides like indoor bumper dodgem cars, maybe foozeball tables or air hockey tables etc. They also had big screen TVs blaring cartoons and had animatronics of Chuck and his band doing covers of popular songs. You got tickets from doing things like basketball hoops or skeeball to get crappy stuffed toys or plastic junk you'd get at a carnival. It was probably hell for parents taking their kids for parties. The pizza and food were like food court mall tier and not a highlight of the experience.

actually if you knew the chuckecheese lore you would know that chuck was originally branded as a rat, but they changed it as it became a negative stereotype with parents which kept the business getting extra parental revenue.

As long as your parents or the birthday kid's parents gave you money to use in the arcade it was a blast. The best part was trading in the tickets you won at the arcade for shitty prizes that were worth 2% of what you just spent to get those tix. Honestly, the locally owned competitor was kind of better because they had a bowling alley instead of the playground/ballpit stuff which was only fun if you were like under 9 years old.
